Steve Paysen Ministries Newsletter

“This is our first newsletter in a new era as my wife Julie joins this adventure full-time...because of this I believe this ministry’s best days are ahead of us.” - Steve Paysen

The first 5 months of 2026 have brought a fruitful harvest for sure! P230 Foundation is absolutely committed to taking the Gospel to the places the Lord calls us to and growing the Kingdom of God for His glory! We will discuss results, but please understand that the entirety of all that we have seen The Lord do is through His power, His Word and His plan! P230

Foundation is also committed to the work of connecting new believers to disciple-making Churches who are committed to equipping and sending followers of Christ back into the lost world to preach the gospel! Because of our mission and the places and people we are sent to, we get a front row seat to watch what He loves to do, Reconcile people to Himself and Restore people to their intended purposes here on earth. We relish this opportunity and calling. Julie and I are committed!

New Era:

This is our first newsletter in a new era as my wife joins this adventure full-time, because of this I believe this ministry’s best days are ahead of us. Anyone who knows my wife knows that she has many talents and skills that I do not possess and though she has obviously helped get the ministry to this point, this is a huge step forward with her being able to solely focus on growing P230 Foundation as well as Steve Paysen Ministries.

Mississippi:

In January I had the privilege to preach Revival at FBC Newton, Mississippi. Pastor Chris and FBC put all their effort into exalting Jesus and making Him known in Newton; I spoke in schools as well as civic events, inviting people to join us and did they! The crowd was strong Sunday morning as well as every single night with 36 people surrendering their life to Jesus. But a personal highlight will explain the deep work the Lord did in the Church itself:

On the last night of the revival, a much older man (mid 80’s) came to the altar weeping. I had gotten to know this man throughout the week in some sincere conversations about the state of Jesus’ Church, what he and I had personally witnessed along with some disappointments in our own personal journeys. I would say that I had found an ally as far as philosophical views and practical pursuits. So, I wasn’t surprised that he came to the altar because I view him as a very spiritual man, but I was definitely curious because of his emotional state. He lingered in prayer with a few other men praying with him and I went out to the lobby to meet with folks for the last time before I headed home. On my way back to the hotel, I received a call from Pastor Chris and he told me that the man fell under heavy conviction and repented because the best he could recollect was that he had last shared his faith, in a manner in which a lost person could be saved, in 1969! For fifty-seven years, this man who could hold a spiritual conversation with any man of God that I know, is very present and active in leading his Church, teaching Bible Study but has not one time shared his faith in a way in which a lost person could be saved (intentional redundancy) in the past 57 years, But now, he is sharing his faith daily!

My friends this is the burden that weighs heaviest in my soul, the church that is comfortable with their neighbors, communities and even family members going to hell, reaping the wrath of God because the cost is too high to risk living out what a true disciple is, a disciple-maker. A disciple-maker lives their life and tells their story so others can know Jesus as Savior just like the disciple does, it’s that simple. Your story is about your journey with Jesus, and my story is about my journey with Jesus, He is both the author and the sustainer of the story, but it is intimate between Jesus and me. It is also my story to be repeatedly shared, it is the role of the Holy Spirit to put people in front of me, and for me to be obedient to share my story! Likewise, if you’re a follower of Christ, that should be true of you! Along with the Newton, Mississippi Revival, I returned to Mississippi in February to work inside the Evangelism Tent of the Mississippi Baptist Convention during the Dixie Stampede Rodeo, that outreach event saw over 50 folks surrender their lives to Jesus, the Gospel was shared to over a thousand people one on one!

Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina:

I attended the Georgia Baptist Evangelism conference in February. Then March led us to Leesville, Louisiana for a Youth Evangelistic event, there were 8 that surrendered their life to Jesus. March also had me preaching at Poplar Springs Church in Gumlog, Georgia, where 5 folks surrendered their life to Christ.

April took me closer to where I graduated high school, on the 19 I preached at Draytonville Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC and 4 folks surrendered their life to Jesus. The following day thru Wednesday the 22 I spoke to 5000 students in the public schools in Gaffney and Blacksburg, SC. This was part of a Go Tell Crusade in which over 550 people made life changing decisions for Christ, hundreds of those being salvations. Julie & I will soon be in Indiana, Kentucky (twice), North Carolina, South Carolina and Mississippi (3 times) for ministry over the next few months.

Looking Forward:

Thank you for lifting my precious bride up to the Lord in your prayers. Her cancer journey kept me home more than usual this winter and spring, but it also gave me the gift of comforting her and sitting with her through treatments and many doctor’s appointments. Pending post-treatment test results, we have come through this season stronger and even more passionate about pursuing the Lord’s call on our lives. On June 30 , we will take a huge step of faith as Julie joins the ministry full-time, and we believe this decision will take our impact to a whole new level.

Appalachia and Across the Border:

Julie will oversee scheduling administration, as well as our mission efforts in Kentucky through our Appalachian Ministry and along the U.S./Mexico border through our Bibles to the Border Ministry. She will also help expand our reach through social media and our website. We are excited to see what the Lord will do. Please pray for us as we follow His lead. Here are a few specific ways you can pray: Appalachian Ministry goal of $7500 in partnership with New Heights Church in Middlesboro, KY, we help provide shoes and school supplies for financially challenged families, including 17 student scholarships to GoTell Camp this summer. This is one of the poorest counties in the US. We have been serving here for 13 years.

Bibles to the Border Ministry goal of $8000 that will provide 2000 bibles to our partner churches and ministries on the other side of the Mexico border in Matamoros, Juarez and Ensenada. These are high quality bibles from the Bible League; they are not the cheap newspaper print bibles.

Join Us:

Please pray for us as we strive to continue sharing The Good News all over the world! The day is coming when we will have no more opportunity to tell others of the wonderful love and eternal life that God desires for all of us, please help us reach as many as we possibly can!

The entirety of these spiritual results and the previous 13 years of changed lives have happened because of faithful and generous believers that long to see as many people reconciled to God as possible, every gift matters. There is so much more to do and we are committed unto the Lord to do it with His help. His people have been faithful to help us get to where we are today. Let us press on to the upward call of the Lord and take the GOSPEL to more people! If you haven’t joined our work yet, I personally invite you to ask the Lord what you should do and just do what He says!
